Session Three Registration opening this week!
Just letting you know that the popular WildKids Session THREE is open for registration to New Registrants on 8 April. Returning WildKids (those who participated in Sessions One or Two) are invited to pre-register with Lindsay on April 6 and 7th. This is the last WildKids before summer camps start at the Boys and Girls Club Metchosin outdoor learning camp. (Check out the B&GClub of Victoria site (http://www.bgcvic.org/edu_rec_programs/earth_adventures.htm) for week-long day camps in the summer!) The WildKids programme has been very popular and will be running again in Fall 2010, with even more instructors, so if you do not make it into this last session, keep WildKids in mind for the fall.
The session break down will look the same as the previous fall sessions. Kids will do canoeing, climbing on the 10m climbing tower, archery, shelter building, low ropes challenge course, field games, service projects (often in the on-site garden), and orienteering/ geocaching, among other activities, over the duration of the course. Returning youth will be challenged to further develop their skill sets with more advanced instruction and challenges.
What: Outdoor Adventure Camp for 6-16 year olds.
Ages: In Sessions One and Two, ages were largely between 6-12 yo, but it all depends on who signs up what next session will be like. If you want an older crew, enlist some of your friends! Younger sibs are allowed to come (with parents) if previously arranged with instructor. Kids are welcome to participate without parents, but parents who do come end up having a ton of fun as well.
Instructors: B&G Club outdoor leadership instructors, who have full safety and First Aid certification, and are 100% certified for FUN.
Where: the Boys and Girls Club of Victoria's Metchosin Wilderness Camp at 3900 Metchosin Rd, in Metchosin
