1 Oct - Games, Relay Races, Team Work and Canoeing in the Pond
- Come and meet the Wildkids! Some have participated in many sessions and some will be new! We will get to know each other by playing games and challenging ourselves in relay races. We will also hopefully take advantage of the pleasant weather of this early Fall to canoe in the pond.
8 Oct - Stat Holiday No Wildkids
15 Oct - Climbing Things
- Reversible feet, suction cups, long arms... are all adaptations of animals that climb! Come practice your climbing skills, encourage each other in finding clues that relate to several “climbing things” and connect them to the right animal in our famous game show! Climbing the tower with a twist on learning and working as a team!
22 Oct - Life in a Pond
- What is a pond? What are its roles? What lives in and around it? With games, discussions and observations, you will learn about some of the ponds secrets and get a hands-on experience “pond dipping” to be able to observe its multitude of creatures up close. Larvae, insects, algae, snails, turtles, worms and tadpoles are just a few of the inhabitants of this amazingly rich ecosystem.
29 Oct - Halloween Fun
- Decoration and mask making will be the highlights of this Spooky and Fun program. The group will also make a special treat to be shared around a campfire while telling and listening to Halloween stories.
5 Nov - Food Webs and the New Animal Game
- Ecosystems, habitats and food webs are the focus of this fun, interactive and creative program. A wide survival game, group discussions and a food web art creation are only a few of the activities that will make our learning experience memorable. We will talk producers, consumers and decomposers and their habitat as well as establish relations within the food webs.
12 Nov - The Five Senses of Nature
- Experience nature! Touch its textures, smell its odours, notice its differences and subtleties, hear its sounds, and even taste some of its goodness. Following “Nature Spirit” use your five senses to learn about your surroundings. We will walk, create, play and learn in this fun and interactive program about the natural elements surrounding us.
19 Nov - Grand Finale
- The grand finale for this Wildkids Fall Session will be filled with fun, laughter and action! Treasure hunt and games are only a few of the elements of this memorable end of the season... Until next time Wildkids!!
