WildKids is a weekly outdoor adventure programme run for Victoria, BC and area home learners, ages 6-17. It is held at the Victoria Boys and Girls Club's Metchosin Wilderness Camp and run by their certified camp leaders. It started in Spring 2009 and continues this year with a Spring 2013 line-up. As of Spring 2013, the group will run one session for 6-12 year olds, and a second session for 13-17 year olds.

Winter WildKids
Stay tuned to hear details about the Winter WildKids programme, tentatively scheduled to start 21 February.
There are many reasons that Environmental Stewardship/ Garden projects are a part of our Scheduling: 1. They help build ownership of the programme. Kids return and see practical things that they helped build or plant and feel proud of themselves. 2. They underwrite the costs of our programming. 3. Kids get to work on real life problems in a diverse group. 4. They're fun!
Challenge by Choice
This camp runs with the underlying philosophy of "Challenge by Choice". Kids are encouraged to stretch their comfort zones, but are never forced to leave them. If a child is not enjoying an activity, leaders will work to find a way they can still be part of the group, but be doing things in a way they enjoy.
What to bring
- change of clothes - reusable water bottle - rain gear (incl: boots, pants and jacket) - garden work gloves - lunch/snacks - hat - sunscreen
- for canoe days, bring a swimsuit, towel, and a PFD if you have one that fits you well. We have plenty of PFDs on site as well.
NB: **We've yet to cancel a programme for weather-- come prepared!**
